Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, repair, and overhaul of marine mechanical and auxiliary systems
- Conduct inspections and diagnostics on propulsion and auxiliary systems
- Supervise and support technical teams during dry dock and onboard projects
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality procedures in all operations
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and project managers on technical requirements
- Prepare technical reports and documentation following company and regulatory standards
Minimum Requirements
- National Diploma or Degree in Marine Engineering or equivalent trade qualification
- Minimum 5 years experience in a marine engineering environment (preferably ship repair or dry dock operations)
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, pumps, compressors, and auxiliary systems
- Valid SAMSA Marine Engineering Certificate or equivalent (advantageous)
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical manuals
