You will diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, perform preventive maintenance, read manuals and schematics, and support installation and overhaul projects.

Qualifications

• Must hold a trade qualification as Diesel Mechanic or Marine Engine Technician.
• At least 4 years' hands-on experience with marine engines and propulsion systems.
• Ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical faults.
• Proficient in reading technical manuals and schematics.
• Valid driver’s license for Richards Bay region.

Responsabilités

• Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of marine engines (diesel and petrol).
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues affecting engine performance.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Read and interpret engine service manuals and schematics.
• Overhaul and rebuild engines and marine mechanical systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
• Maintain accurate service records.
• Manage spare parts inventory and stock levels.
• Assist with installation of new engine systems.
• Respond to urgent repair requests to minimize downtime.
