Our client is looking for a Manufacturing Manager to join their team in Pretoria, GP. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations, managing a team of 20 factory staff, and ensuring efficient stock control, receiving and dispatch processes in a chemical manufacturing environment. The role requires hands‑on leadership on the production floor, ensuring adherence to manufacturing standards, optimizing workflows, and driving product delivery.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage day‑to‑day manufacturing operations.
• Optimize processes with a focus on SOPs and GMPs.
• Manage staff, including training, performance management, scheduling and discipline.
• Address and resolve non‑conformances.
• Coordinate with procurement to ensure availability of manufacturing stock.
• Maintain accurate inventory management, including FIFO, picking, packing, receiving and dispatch.
• Plan and oversee receiving and dispatch of scheduled deliveries.
• Review production schedules and ensure the picking area is replenished as needed.
• Organise bin layouts for efficiency and compliance.
• Conduct regular stock takes.
• Ensure timely processing from order to delivery.
• Lead start and end‑of‑day meetings with manufacturing staff.
• Release batch cards and manage prioritisation of production tasks.

Requirements
