Job summary

A leading Insurtech firm in South Africa is seeking a Manual Test Analyst to ensure high-quality products through comprehensive testing. You will design and execute test cases, create formal documentation, and perform multiple testing types. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience in Functional and UAT Testing, holds an ISTQB certificate, and preferably has experience in the Insurance or InsurTech industry. Qualifications

• ISTQB Certificate is mandatory.
• Minimum 5 years in Functional and UAT Testing.
• Previous experience in the Insurance or InsurTech industry advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Designing and executing Test Cases.
• Creating formal test documentation.
• Testing functionality to meet client specifications.
• Performing regression, negative, and end-to-end testing.
• Logging and tracking bugs and issues.

Skills

ISTQB Certificate in Software Testing

5 years of experience in Functional Testing

5 years of experience in UAT Testing

Experience with issue / defect tracking tools

Creating test cases

Intermediate SQL knowledge

Understanding of basic database concepts

As a Manual Test Analyst at Genasys, you play a critical role in ensuring clients receive high-quality products.

You will form part of the Project team which focuses on the configuration and implementation of software products for new clients.

What will you be doing?

Designing and executing Test Cases.

Creating formal test documentation, including test plans and test completion reports.

Testing functionality and ensuring that it aligns with client specifications and company standards.

Completing Functionality Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

Perform regression, negative, and end-to-end testing.

Testing functionality to verify performance and reliability.

Logging and tracking bugs, defects, issues, and risks.

The role requires someone who is a proactive problem-solver and enjoys working independently or within a team-based structure.

Your experience, qualifications, and skills :

• ISTQB Certificate in Software Testing
• 5 years of experience in Functional and UAT Testing
• Experience with issue / defect tracking tools
• Experience in creating test cases, test scenarios, and test plans
• Intermediate SQL knowledge and an understanding of basic database concepts
• Previous experience in the Insurance or InsurTech industry would be an advantage.
