MANDARIN TEACHER POSITION (Primary School and High School)

Pretoria Chinese School, a prestigious independent institution dedicated to academic excellence, is inviting applications for a Mandarin Teacher position. We seek a passionate and dynamic educator.

The ideal candidate should:

  • Hold appropriate academic and professional qualifications to teach in Primary and High School.
  • Be registered with SACE or meet the requirements for SACE registration.
  • Demonstrate expertise in the Mandarin Language Curriculum (Home Language and Second Additional Language).
  • Be passionate about education, creative, self‑motivated, and energetic.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Possess excellent organisational skills to assess and monitor student progress while providing constructive feedback.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons.
  • Foster a stimulating and supportive learning environment that upholds the ethos and values of the school.
  • Integrate technology and innovative teaching methods into the classroom.
  • Contribute to the co‑curricular programme and support students beyond the classroom.
  • Be available during afternoons, evenings, and other required times to assist with co‑curricular activities, workshops, courses, and school functions.
