Job title : Managing Editor – Coding & Robotics

Key Responsibilities
Lead the editorial workflow of Coding & Robotics and all Computer Science related projects from manuscript to final product (print and digital).
Ensure editorial quality by applying proofreading, copy-editing, and typesetting standards in all language versions.
Maintain alignment with MML's editorial policy and curriculum requirements.
Coordinate the localisation (not direct translation) of Coding & Robotics content in all official languages, ensuring clarity and curriculum alignment.
Collaborate with language experts to maintain consistency in terminology and instructional language.
Conduct or facilitate editorial training sessions for SMEs, authors, and reviewers.
Work closely with Publishers, Language Specialists, and Product Coordinators to manage timelines and content requirements.
Engage with external freelancers to ensure high-quality outputs.
Implement a rigorous editorial and QA process for all subjects.
Conduct final product checks before signoff, ensuring adherence to specifications.
Maintain and update WIP trackers for each language and phase.
Provide regular status updates and escalate risks proactively.
Monitor project budgets in collaboration with the Publisher.
Qualifications
Relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science and / or Coding & Robotics.
At least 3 years' experience in educational publishing or editorial management.
Strong understanding of curriculum and language policy in education.
Experience working with teachers and learners at school level is beneficial but not required.
