Job description
Introduction

Our client is seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Managing Director to lead its Western Cape franchise. This role is ideal for a candidate with a proven ability to grow a business, bring an active client order book, and drive strategic expansion in the region. The Managing Director will focus on revenue growth, operational leadership, and strengthening our client’s footprint in the corporate training and development sector.

The successful candidate must bring with them an existing pipeline of clients, for which they will be independently remunerated, while also building new long‑term relationships to expand the franchise. This is a Cape Town–based position, with full operational responsibility for the Western Cape franchise.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Business Growth and Client Development: Bring an established order book of clients and leverage these relationships to generate immediate revenue. Develop new business opportunities by expanding client networks across industries. Ensure sustainable annual growth of the franchise through sales performance and market penetration.
  • Franchise Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Western Cape franchise team. Ensure operational excellence in line with our client’s 30‑year reputation for premium behavioural change training. Manage financial and operational performance of the franchise.
  • Strategic Partnerships and Market Positioning: Position our client as the preferred provider of leadership and educational solutions in the Western Cape. Build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and clients. Identify and capitalise on growth opportunities aligned to the QCTO transition and industry shifts.
  • Reporting and Accountability: Maintain accurate reporting on revenue, client acquisition, and franchise performance. Provide regular updates to our client’s head office. Drive accountability across the franchise to meet growth targets.
Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum of 10 years' leadership or senior business development experience. Proven success in building and maintaining client portfolios, ideally in training, HR, or related industries. Demonstrated ability to bring and grow an active order book of clients. Strong entrepreneurial, negotiation, and business management skills. Post graduate degree in Business, Management, or a related field preferred.
