Main purpose of role

Head up warehouse and manage the team to ensure internal & external service delivery

Responsibilities

Managing intake, preparation and loading of cargo for export purposes. Maintain accurate material levels. Management of loading equipment and vehicles. Ensure operating costs are kept to a minimum. Housekeeping and maintenance. Manage warehouse staff, including scheduling shifts, delegating tasks and ensuring adherence to company policies. Managing all SLA's.

Job related requirements

Minimum of _5_ years experience as Warehouse Manager in air freight exports environment. Excellent understanding of industry and related job requirements for freight forwarding. Experienced in staff management; building and leading a team to perform at maximum capacity. Extensive knowledge pertaining to airlines, ground handlers. Manage Service Level Agreements, Vehicle maintenance & Licensing. Stock control and ordering of packaging material. Managing general housekeeping pertaining to the building, warehouse, coldrooms and surrounding perimeter.
