Job summary

Job Function

To manage the processes, teams and resources accountable for risk, quality, environmental, health and safety management, contributing to operational effectiveness, client or customer satisfaction, reduced risk, profitability and compliance to relevant policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Performance Areas
  • Define standard operating procedures and implement and manage end to end processes
  • Monitor and report on progress against operational plans and make adjustments where required
  • Formulate a plan which includes milestones and priorities to deliver on operational objectives
  • Plan, manage and monitor initiatives to ensure customer service excellence
  • Provide SHERQ related training to business stakeholders
  • Conduct incident and accident investigations and make preventative and corrective recommendations
  • Establish and maintain a register that specify all statutory and client compliance requirements
  • Implement a quality, risk and compliance management system that address all compliance and risk requirements
  • Perform quality management system, self-assessment
  • Perform risk assessments and monitoring
  • Implement and manage workforce planning, recruitment, learning and development, performance management, reward and recognition and employee relations to ensure an optimal working environment
  • Create an engaging, enabling and productive work climate aligned to the employee value proposition by demonstrating leadership through personal commitment to organisational values
  • Manage operational risk and risk mitigation initiatives
  • Manage, monitor and report on budget variances in order to maximise financial performance
