Job Related Requirements
  • Operations – Extensive knowledge and hands‑on skill related to inbound, stock management, outbound / order fulfilment, return processes, effective packaging, excellent facility housekeeping (5S), batch and expiry control. Stock management includes audits, SKU master maintenance, consolidation, slotting, space utilisation, pick‑face replenishment strategies, batch and serial number management, expiry management, daily warehouse system and variance measurement.
  • Problem solving – Effective root‑cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventative measures.
  • Management – Ability to perform all managerial functions (planning, organising, leading, controlling, monitoring) independently, effectively and reliably.
  • Communication – Effective written and verbal communication to meet both internal and external customer expectations.
  • Compliance – Ensure full site compliance, including DSV policies, regulations, work instructions, maintenance schedules and local authority requirements.
  • Stress and conflict management – Techniques to manage conflict, cope with stress and work effectively under constant pressure.
  • SHERQ – Internal measurement and auditing of all site processes to ensure stability and improvement in health and safety, environment and facility compliance, risk mitigation.
Additional Knowledge

Basic knowledge and experience of QMS such as ISO.

Commercial: Must have effective commercial acumen and experience managing client and supplier contracts, SLAs and risk.

Financial: Must have effective financial acumen to ensure tight cost control and meet or exceed budget.

HR and IR: Must lead, train, performance‑measure and manage all subordinates to ensure high morale, productivity and retention.

  • Role Purpose

    Main purpose of the role: Maintain operational performance in line with client‑agreed SLA, maintain internal KPIs, identify, drive and implement improvements to support productivity and cost savings, and manage operations in terms of people, quality, health & safety compliance and financial performance.

    Duties and Responsibilities
    • Maintain discipline and measure staff performance.
    • Maintain equipment and facility.
    • Ensure client needs and expectations are consistently met within the scope of the service agreement by developing customised solutions and continuous improvement processes.
    • Actively manage daily operational performance to consistently achieve metric targets.
    • Ensure employee development plans are in place and achieved as per plan.
    • Ensure adherence to health, safety and environmental requirements.
    • Assist client with customised solutions and improvement within existing and additional scope.
    • Plan and implement cycle counts, ABC analysis and other processes in line with KPI and contractual obligations.Control, investigate and complete CAPA documents if needed.
    • Create and maintain reports in line with KPI and contractual obligations.
    • Adhere to HSE compliance and responsibilities.
    • Adhere to tasks not stipulated in the job profile (audit compliance, ad‑hoc duties due to operational requirements).
    • Communicate with clients regarding supply at all times.
    • Build supplier relationships.
    • Hold daily, weekly & monthly inbound and outbound meetings with client.
    • Control the risks associated with VAS activities.
    • Monitor and correct inadequate or inappropriate inventory to meet sales demands.
    • Ensure material master and bin master are maintained, updated and actioned as required.
    • Control quarantined and damaged stock, including inspections, scrapping processes.
    • Ensure inventory processes are followed in operations and admin.
    • Manage facility maintenance and cleaning.
