Overview
To enhance IT governance, operational reporting, and compliance across Group IT. The role integrates expertise in ITIL-aligned processes, time and resource governance, licence management, vendor engagement, and operational analytics to ensure audit readiness, efficiency, and data-driven decision-making. The incumbent leverages advanced understanding of IT governance frameworks, SaaS tooling, and time/resource modelling to deliver sustainable operational excellence and support strategic IT objectives.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree/Diploma/Demonstrable extensive relevant experience accepted as equivalent (10 Years)
- Relevant certifications in ITIL, Agile, or IT governance (preferred)
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of consulting experience in business, technology, or operational transformation
- Minimum of 5–7 years in IT operations, governance, or reporting roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership or specialist capacity
- At least 2 years of direct experience in managing time solutions software (e.g., ActiTime, or equivalent) including configuration, governance, and reporting
- Strong contract management skills, including oversight of vendor agreements, service-level terms, and renewals
- Strong SLA management skills, including drafting, monitoring, and enforcing service-level compliance and reporting
- Experience with ITIL processes, software asset management, operational reporting, and business intelligence
Knowledge And Skills
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes (Change, Capacity, SOPs, Asset Management)
- Proven capability in operational reporting, dashboard design, and data visualisation
- Expertise in licence management and vendor engagement in an IT context
- Advanced skills in time solutions governance and configuration (e.g., ActiTime)
- Experience managing IT time tracking, forecasting, and resource modelling
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of audit and compliance requirements in IT operations

Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive ITIL-aligned governance across change, capacity, SOPs, and time management, ensuring alignment to audit and compliance requirements.
- Implement and maintain time tracking, reporting, and analytics, enabling effective resource utilisation and forecasting.
- Deliver operational, cost, and performance dashboards, providing leadership with clear insights for informed decision-making.
- Oversee software licence tracking, reconciliation, renewal forecasting, and vendor audit readiness.
- Maintain and improve SOPs, ensuring consistency, version control, and adoption across IT functions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to strengthen reporting, governance, and compliance across IT workstreams.
- Provide actionable insights through analysis of KPIs, SLAs, variance trends, and capacity data.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, nurturing an environment of accountability, autonomy, and excellence.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning through training, coaching, and process retrospectives.
- Set objectives, monitor team performance, and provide regular feedback and development opportunities.
- Formalise and govern IT SOPs, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with best practices.
- Establish and monitor time tracking and forecasting aligned to agile and SAFe principles.
- Validate data integrity and ensure accurate reporting by aligning workflows across tools such as ActiTime, Jira, and Confluence.
- Support secure and efficient join, move, leave (JML) processes, integrated with vendor and SaaS tooling.
- Manage DevSecOps vendor relationships to ensure software compliance, optimise licensing, and maintain cost-effectiveness.
- Facilitate cross-functional reporting, ensuring traceability and audit readiness of IT operational data.
