A leading regulatory body in Pretoria is seeking a Manager – Governance and Corporate Secretariat. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Law or Corporate Governance and 4-5 years of experience in a governance role. Responsibilities include supporting governance committees and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This position offers a hybrid work model.
Manager – Governance and Corporate Secretariat (CGISA)
Location : Pretoria, Gauteng / Hybrid
There is an exciting opportunity available for a Manager – Governance and Corporate Secretariat at a highly reputable regulator.
Position Overview: The purpose of the Manager – Governance and Corporate Secretariat is to support the governance committees, and their subcommittees fulfil their statutory duties and obligations as per corporate governance requirements as specified by the Public Audit Act (PAA) and corporate governance principles (e.g. King IV requirements).
The Manager – Governance and Corporate Secretariat plays an advisory function with regards to the management and administrative support of governance structures and mechanisms as well as compliance with regulatory requirements.
Experience, Qualifications and Knowledge Required : A completed Bachelor's Degree in Law / Corporate Law or related Corporate Governance qualification. One must have either written and passed the Governance Board Exam or be registered with the Charted Institute of Governance of Southern Africa. A minimum of 4-5 years' experience in a Governance and Secretariat Environment at Manager Level.
