A leading financial institution in Sandton is looking for a specialist to manage a team responsible for treasury and international banking operations. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in exchange control environments, including experience with Balance of Payment reporting. Qualifications

Job description

Purpose Statement

• To manage and oversee the team of Specialists responsible for all treasury, international banking and payment related products and systems within the Exchange Control environment in Capitec.
• To advise the clients on Exchange Control related matters and manage the Balance of Payment (BOP) reporting processes in line with regulatory requirements.
• To be the liaison with the South African Reserve Bank ("SARB") on behalf of Capitec and the Exchange Control Department.

Experience

MINIMUM:

• At least 5 years in exchange control environment working with BOP Reporting
• At least 3 years liasing with the SARB on BOP reporting matters, including system inspections
• Holding accountability for regulatory compliance in an exchange control environment

IDEAL:

• BOP reporting knowledge and Typing skills

Qualifications (Minimum)

• Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational

Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)

Knowledge

MINIMUM:

• Extensive knowledge of legislation including SA Reserve Exchange Control regulations and rulings
• Extensive knowledge of BOP reporting requirements and reporting formats for various types of transactions
• Knowledge and understanding of the FIC
• The general understanding of treasury/exchange/banking environment
• Client service principles and standards
• Stakeholder engagement practices
