Role Purpose
The purpose of the role is to provide financial support to the business within the specific function, through the relevant analysis of information using insight and judgement. The result is to drive the business objectives while supporting improved quality decision making.
Requirements
- A CIMA/Cost and Management Accounting Degree or equivalent.
- Experience in a FMCG environment (specifically in Dairy) or equivalent work experience would be advantageous.
- Operation experience at distribution centre beneficial.
- Good analytical skills, accuracy and details orientated.
- Computer literacy: Advanced Excel and related MS Office Packages.
- Need to be able to work with different departments within the business.
- Knowledge of BPCS System or similar ERP System and Reporting Tools is preferred.
- At least 5 years post qualification experience in a financial function or management control function.
- Strong business acumen, attention to detail and strong leadership skills required.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the reporting book for Supply Chain & Procurement (budget, monthly and weekly reporting).
- Driving the monthly reporting results (Logistics and Procurement) through analysis of actual results and variances versus Budget and Previous year.
- Ensure that effective procedures are in place and maintained within area of responsibility to mitigate risk to the business.
- Ensuring that financial reporting & management reporting are aligned.
- Working with the BI team & Analytics Manager to improve reporting.
- Improving the reporting processes and services through simplification and developing key relationships.
- Ensure that the area of control complies with all accounting.
- Participate in various business meetings to provide assistance/guidance.
- Working with the operational teams to integrate and improve financial reporting.
- Ad-hoc financial simulations and tasks.
