3 years Financial Related Degree / Diploma
3 years' experience as a Cost Accountant
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret financial data and identify cost trends.
A solid understanding of accounting principles, cost accounting methods (e.g., standard costing, activity-based costing), and financial reporting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively present financial information and recommendations to management.
Proficiency with accounting software, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Excel.
Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Analyzing business activity costs, such as raw materials, inventory, and labour, to identify waste, inform pricing strategies, and make growth projections.
Forecasting fixed and variable expenses to help organizations create budgets and revenue forecasts.
Identifying and recommending cost-effective solutions and opportunities to minimize expenses and maximize profits.
Preparing reports and presentations for management on cost variances, profitability analyses, and other relevant financial information.
Managing product costing and tooling inventory reporting, including comparing actual costs to estimates and analyzing variances.
Establishing and updating the standard costs of products and services.
Providing information for audits and ensuring compliance with financial governance requirements.
Working with other accountants, financial staff, and management teams to make informed financial decisions.
Analyzing organizational data and reviewing rates of labor, overhead, and depreciation to recommend policy changes that will improve performance.
Payroll management and processing of paying employees, including calculating, tracking, and distributing their wages and salaries.
It also includes determining correct withholdings for taxes, benefits, and other deductions.
Responsible for compiling all financial and cost reports as and when requested by management.
