Overview

Maintenance Supervisor – Amaro Foods / Cape Town. Purpose: To oversee and assist the maintenance team to ensure that all equipment, utilities and facilities operate efficiently during their life through maintenance and optimization. Assist production to reach their targets of production and quality.

Responsibilities

Comply with the necessary Occupational Health and Safety requirements and food safety requirements. Ensure compliance to all food safety regulations, allergen control, housekeeping and pest control. Ensure legal and safety inspections are completed. Comply with company protocols and rules. Ensuring all maintenance contractors comply with Amaro Food Standards and policies. Participate in personal hygiene checks. Oversee allocation of job cards and resources. Manage artisans' workloads and ensuring that the jobs have been done properly. Analyse issues and items that are slowing the artisans down. Establish ways to overcome these issues and items. Ensure feedback and job cards are completed on CMMS. Assist with first line maintenance manuals. Escalation to maintenance manager where necessary. Root cause analysis of scheduling problems / work not being completed. Assist with keeping stock and spares. Assist with planning and scheduling of cleaning with hygiene / technical department. Over inspections to be carried out on completed jobs and artisans assigned areas. Assist on the job artisans where necessary. Ensure maintenance tactics are adhered to. Responsible for the day-to‑day management of the outputs of the team/s. Ensure fair allocation of workload. Provide backup and support to the Maintenance Manager. Qualifications

Technical Skills and Experience: 5 years maintenance experience; 2 years supervisory experience. Good all-round mechanical and electrical knowledge. N4 Qualification. Trade test. Food factory experience.
