About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct general maintenance, repairs, and inspections of school buildings, classrooms, staff housing, and grounds.
  • Manage repairs of basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and painting tasks as required.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and resolve issues efficiently to minimize disruption to teaching and learning.
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of school events, functions, and activities.
  • Monitor and maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
  • Liaise with and oversee external contractors and service providers where necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and school policies.
  • Support campus security and emergency protocols when needed.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work after hours and weekends when necessary.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Proven experience in maintenance, facilities management, or a similar hands‑on role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems and equipment.
  • Practical skills in multiple areas (e.g., plumbing, carpentry, painting, minor electrical repairs).
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • A proactive, solution‑orientated approach with attention to detail.
  • A friendly, professional manner when interacting with staff, students, and visitors.
