Job summary

A leading company in the industrial sector is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee mechanical and electrical maintenance systems. The ideal candidate will have a Technical Diploma or Mechanical Engineering degree, with 2-4 years in a managerial role and extensive experience in maintenance within an industrial environment. Responsibilities include ensuring maximum operational efficiency and managing a multi-skilled maintenance service.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years experience in a similar managerial position.
• 5 years minimum experience in maintenance and engineering roles.
• General Machinery Regulations experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee mechanical and electrical maintenance systems and processes.
• Lead the site Maintenance function for reactive and proactive services.
• Manage breakdowns of mechanical and electrical equipment.

Skills

Knowledge of boilers

Knowledge of steam systems

Knowledge of power generation equipment

Stock control

Store management

CMMS knowledge

Experience in Labour Legislation

Job description

Primarily oversee all mechanical and electrical maintenance systems, processes, practices and people to support the operational departmental actions

Align with the operations plan to ensure plant optimization and efficiency, maintenance planning and capital spares optimization

Lead the site Maintenance function in providing both a reactive and pro-active, multi-skilled maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure ie. breakdown / reactive, corrective, preventive, upgrades etc.

Responsible for ensuring that the facility operate to its maximum efficiency and output.

Responsibilities includes total preventative maintenance, managing breakdowns of mechanical and electrical equipment such as boilers, steam systems, power generation equipment etc.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE :

Technical Diploma or Mechanical Engineering degree

2-4 years experience in a similar managerial position

5 years minimum experience in maintenance and engineering roles in an industrial / manufacturing environment

Sound knowledge of boilers, steam systems, power generation equipment, stock control and store management

CMMS knowledge.

Sound knowledge of OHS Act

Sound knowledge and Experience in Labour Legislation

General Machinery Regulations experience is an advantage
