Job description

Our client, based in Port Elizabeth, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager.

• Relevant tertiary qualification required.
• 10+ Years’ experience in Building / Maintenance / Construction / Civil Engineering.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience in managing a team.
• Knowledgeable of Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Excellent financial acumen, with the ability to plan and monitor budgets.
• Computer Literate.

Responsibilities, but not limited to:

• Responsible for the planning, supervision, and management of all maintenance operations (property and infrastructure) and related activities.
• Compile and monitor the maintenance budget.
• Obtain quotations from suppliers and service providers, ensuring the most cost-effective solutions.
• Liaise with and build and maintain strong relationships with service providers.
• Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify any potential issues that need to be resolved.
• Plan and execute preventative maintenance.
• Execute any special upgrades.
• Comply with all Health and Safety regulations at all times.
• Oversee the Security of all sites, ensuring that all infrastructure and equipment are in good working order.
• Hands-on supervision and management of staff and service providers.
