A chemical manufacturing company in Cape Town is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee all maintenance operations, ensuring compliance with safety and ISO standards. The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering and managerial experience in an ISO-accredited environment. Responsibilities include overseeing budgets, leading a maintenance team, and maintaining effective communication with production teams.

Qualifications

  • 5-6 years’ managerial experience in a fast-paced, ISO-accredited manufacturing environment.
  • Strong project costing, budgeting, and administrative skills.
  • Knowledge of OHS Act and ISO standards.

  • Oversee planned and reactive maintenance across production, warehousing, and facilities.
  • Lead and motivate the maintenance team for optimal performance.

  • Maintain relationships with service providers and ensure tool/equipment readiness.
  • Drive communication between maintenance and production teams.
  • Conduct inspections and implement preventative maintenance schedules.

Job description
Maintenance Manager position available in Cape Town.

Responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations in a chemical manufacturing environment, including facilities, utilities, and equipment.

Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and ISO standards while managing budgets, staff, and contractors through effective preventive and breakdown maintenance planning.

Salary: Up to R75,000 CTC per month, negotiable.

Requirements:

  • Excellent MS Office proficiency and knowledge of OHS Act and ISO standards.
  • Good communication and leadership skills.
  • Valid Code 8 driver’s license and reliable transport.
