Job summary

You will oversee daily maintenance operations, lead and mentor a team, and ensure facilities are maintained to the highest standards. Job description

A leading hotel group is recruiting for a Maintenance Manager who will ensure facilities are maintained to the highest standards. The successful candidate will be critical in maintaining the functionality, safety, and aesthetics of the property. The Maintenance Manager will oversee all maintenance activities, manage a team of maintenance staff, and coordinate with other departments to address and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily maintenance operations and ensure the highest standards of facility upkeep.
  • Lead, train, and mentor a team of maintenance staff.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Coordinate with other departments to address maintenance issues promptly.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and contractors to ensure quality service and cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare and manage maintenance budgets, track expenses and optimise resource allocation.
  • Lead and supervise maintenance projects, ensuring timely and successful completion.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary Qualification in Maintenance Management (advantageous).
  • Project Management Qualification (advantageous).
  • Occupational Health & Safety (OHAS) Qualification (advantageous).
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.
  • Project management or supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor personnel and manage supplier relationships.
  • Extensive technical, practical, and leadership experience, including projects and maintenance.
  • Site and facilities management experience preferred.
