Overview

Job Title: Maintenance Manager

Location : North West

Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a Maintenance Manager. The Maintenance Manager will oversee and coordinate all aspects of maintenance operations within our client’s organization’s facilities located in the North West region. The incumbent will be responsible for managing a team of maintenance technicians and ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of all equipment, machinery, and infrastructure. The Maintenance Manager will collaborate with other departments to establish and implement maintenance procedures, goals, and budgets to ensure uninterrupted operations and minimize downtime.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules, programs, and procedures to ensure effective and efficient preventive maintenance and equipment reliability.
  • Plan and coordinate regular inspections and maintenance activities to identify potential issues and address them promptly to prevent breakdowns or accidents.
  • Collaborate with other departments to plan and execute maintenance projects, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Oversee the coordination of contractors and external maintenance service providers to ensure compliance with quality standards and timelines.
  • Monitor inventory levels of spare parts, tools, and equipment, and initiate procurement processes to ensure availability when needed.
  • Develop and manage a maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for the maintenance team and other employees.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in maintenance management, and explore opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Prepare accurate reports and documentation related to maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and maintenance logs.
Requirements
  • A degree or diploma in Engineering, Facility Management, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate a team.
  • In-depth understanding of preventive maintenance principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with maintenance software systems and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment failures.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
