Job summary

A leading manufacturing company seeks to employ an experienced Fitter and Turner at their plant in Kuils River. The ideal candidate will have essential qualifications including being trade tested, with around 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities involve mechanical maintenance, upgrading machinery, and ensuring safety protocols. Competitive salary with shift work expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Grade 12.
• N3 minimum in Mechanical Engineering.
• Trade tested as Fitter & Turner ESSENTIAL.
• Around 5 years’ post apprenticeship experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Able / willing to work shifts.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical maintenance of plant machinery.
• Upgrading and modifying existing machinery.
• Machining & manufacturing of parts as required.
• Maintain minimum waste percentages in workshop.
• Ensure that ISO Best Practices are adhered to.
• Ensure that safe work procedures are followed.

• Trade tested as Fitter & Turner ESSENTIAL
• Around 5 years’ post apprenticeship experience in a manufacturing environment
• Able / willing to work shifts
