Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Location: Emalahleni, Mpumalanga

Position Summary: RPO Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our client's team. As a trusted recruitment agency, we work closely with our clients to find the best talent that meets their specific requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure optimal equipment performance
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to identify and address potential issues
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and machinery breakdowns in a timely manner
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop improvement initiatives and implement best practices
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Follow all safety and quality standards
• Perform maintenance work and maintain safety standards
• Perform monthly and yearly inspections on the machines/equipment
• Ensure that all contractors are properly trained and inducted on the plant's procedures
• Ensure compliance to legal requirements (SOPs, COPs Act, Regulations and general good safety practices)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
• GCC Mines Certification
• Driver's license Code C1 / 10
• Minimum of 3 years of technical/mechanical knowledge in both electrical and mechanical disciplines
• Project Management experience
• SHERQ Code as per legal environment
• Coal processing plant experience
• Strong knowledge of equipment and maintenance practices
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team and independently
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
