Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial electrical systems and maintenance.
  • Valid Drivers Licence.
  • Physically fit and able to work shifts and heights.
  • Available for standby duty (1 week in every 3).
  • Good communication, problem-solving, and planning skills.
  • Understanding of HACCP and ISO systems is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain electrical systems control panels and distribution components.
  • Troubleshoot and repair faults ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on machines and equipment.
  • Respond to breakdowns and carry out repairs efficiently.

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join a dynamic manufacturing environment based in Stellenbosch. This role is ideal for a hands‑on individual with strong fault‑finding and preventative maintenance skills particularly within an industrial setting.

Key Responsibilities :

Electrical Installation & Maintenance

  • Install and maintain electrical systems control panels and distribution components
  • Troubleshoot and repair faults ensuring minimal downtime
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance

Machine & Equipment Maintenance

  • Perform scheduled maintenance on machines and equipment
  • Respond to breakdowns and carry out repairs efficiently
  • Source and install spares in line with operational needs
  • Maintain statutory registers and liaise with service providers

Building & Grounds Maintenance

  • Maintain buildings and infrastructure to required standards
  • Complete basic electrical and plumbing tasks as needed

Quality & Compliance

  • Adhere to quality management systems and GMP protocols
  • Ensure equipment and workspace comply with safety standards

Health Safety & Housekeeping

  • Enforce safe working practices and compliance with health and safety policies
  • Participate in HACCP and health & safety committee activities
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment

Requirements :

  • Trade Test Certificate Electrician
