Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain all maintenance schedules for all plant equipment at HBF.
  • Ensure that all preventative checks are done on time, e.g. load tests on all lifting devices, pressure test on all pressure vessels, etc.
  • Ensure that all maintenance records are kept and filed as per company policy, and manage stock levels in the maintenance store.
  • Arrange and expedite all maintenance purchase orders as well as all subcontracted work.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications
  • Qualified Artisan with three to five years related experience or a relevant technical qualification with three to five years’ experience.
  • Basic understanding and/or have worked on preventative maintenance systems.
  • Experience in other trades (electrical, mechanical or instrumentation).
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
