Our client is seeking an experienced Maintenance / Automation Technician / Millwright to join their dynamic technical solutions team in the Netherlands. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse machinery across industries such as manufacturing, food, pharma, and process chemistry, providing high-quality maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support.

About the Role:

As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, ensuring equipment reliability and optimal operation. You will work on mechanical and electrical systems, including troubleshooting electrical faults, PLCs, and variable speed drives. Each day brings unique challenges across different client sites, allowing you to apply your hands‑on skills while collaborating with a team or working independently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve faults on machinery and automation systems.
  • Support installation, adjustments, and process upgrades at client sites.
  • Work across diverse industries, including manufacturing, food, pharma, and chemical processing.
  • Collaborate with teams and communicate effectively while working independently on client projects.
  • Participate in different shifts and travel to client locations as required.
Requirements:
  • Completed studies in Millwright or equivalent technician education (NQF Level 45).
  • All‑round technical skills: mechanical and electrical experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant technical experience.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, variable speed drives, and process automation is an advantage.
  • Experience in breakdown service, maintenance, or technical support roles.
  • Previous experience in industries such as food, pharma, manufacturing, or process chemistry preferred.
  • Afrikaans language skills are a plus.
  • Willingness to work shifts and travel as needed.
