About the Role

Various companies, based in the Netherlands, are seeking experienced junior electricians who have a broad skillset encompassing electrical and mechanical knowledge. Positions are available as two (2) year contracts with the possibility of becoming permanent. Remuneration for these positions are capped at €4171.00 per month (Gross). These companies operate within the industrial and / or manufacturing sector(s) and are specifically looking for candidates who have the ability to problem-solve with regards to their maintenance approach. The successful candidate will not only solve the immediate problem, but will also identify and remedy the root cause in order to maximise productivity. These jobs offer a pathway to the diverse European job market and will both challenge and reward the successful candidate.

What you'll be doing
  • General problem solving on machines. This includes electrical and some mechanical work.
  • While the successful candidate will form part of a diverse team, self sufficiency and self administration are expected. This encompasses logging and reporting of faults and repair procedures.
  • Some of these positions also require communicating with clients to provide remote assistance and skills transfer.
  • Carrying out periodic inspections.
  • Optimising production processes.
  • Maintaining existing equipment and installing new equipment or upgrades.
  • Interpretation of technical drawings.
What you'll need
  • No candidate older than 28 years will be considered for this position.
  • A valid South African driving license (this can be converted directly into a Dutch driving license).
  • Independent, firm personality, a great sense of responsibility, good analytical skills and a team spirit.
  • A minimum of five (5) years' experience working in a relevant field.
  • Willing to travel within the Netherlands and perhaps internationally, if required.
  • Willing to work flexible hours upon occasion.
  • Due to the similarity between Dutch and Afrikaans, Afrikaans-speaking applicants will have an advantage. The proficiency level of both written and spoken Afrikaans should be suitable for the work environment (professional level).
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is a must.
