Placements24 is sourcing diligent and safety-conscious Machine Operators for a facility in Upington. You will set up, operate, and monitor various machines, perform routine quality checks, and ensure adherence to safety protocols in a fast-paced production environment.

The role emphasizes maintaining equipment, recording production data, and working both independently and with a team to support stable manufacturing operations in the Northern Cape.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing/industrial setting is preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow technical instructions, operating manuals, and safety protocols.
• Good mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic machine adjustments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain production machinery according to procedures and safety guidelines.
• Monitor machine performance, identify operational issues or malfunctions, and report them to the maintenance team.
• Perform quality checks on products to ensure standards and tolerances are met.
• Make minor adjustments to machines to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to housekeeping and safety standards.
• Record production data, including output, downtime, and quality metrics.
