M&A Analyst position available – Remote (South Africa).

We are seeking a Super Star in Mergers & Acquisitions for a remote position (CST Time Zone).

Salary Range: 3000–3500 USD/month plus performance-based bonuses.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (CST).

NOTE: INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR POSITION.

Position Overview

The M&A Analyst plays a key role at the top of the acquisition funnel engaging directly with business owners, evaluating alignment with investment criteria, and recording insights that drive deal flow. This position blends financial acumen with strong interpersonal communication, ensuring each potential acquisition is efficiently assessed and advanced.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial qualification calls with business owners to assess acquisition potential.
  • Evaluate basic financial and operational fit against acquisition criteria.
  • Record and summarize deal insights in the CRM system.
  • Coordinate next steps with internal sourcing and acquisition teams.
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with both internal stakeholders and external business owners.
Requirements
  1. Strong understanding of M&A fundamentals and small business finance.
  2. Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written).
  3. Prior experience in M&A, investment banking, or private equity.
  4. Proven ability to manage CRM workflows and maintain accurate records.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience conducting qualification or outreach calls with U.S. clients or business owners.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar CRMs.
  • Background in financial analysis or deal sourcing.
