Bushwise in Ladysmith, KwaZulu-Natal, is seeking a passionate Field Guide to join our close-knit team at the Nambiti Private Game Reserve. You will guide guests through diverse landscapes, combining wildlife knowledge with hospitality to deliver an unforgettable safari experience.

This role includes two daily game drives, guest check-ins and meals hosting, luggage portage, and providing lodge support as needed to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• NQF2 certification.
• Currently registered with DEAT (Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism).
• First Aid Level 1 certificate or higher.
• Valid driver’s license with a PrDP.
• Proven 4x4 driving experience.
• Passion for wildlife, hospitality and bushveld lifestyle; strong guest-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Conduct two daily game drives, providing informative, engaging wildlife viewing.
• Host guests during meals and social times; manage guest check-ins/outs warmly.
• Assist with guest arrivals/departures; port luggage to/from rooms.
• Lend a hand with lodge maintenance and minor repairs as needed.
