We are seeking a skilled and experienced Long Hole Rig Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting long‑hole drilling equipment to ensure safe and efficient drilling operations. The position is based in Carletonville.

Key Responsibilities

• The technician will be responsible for operating and maintaining the long hole rig, ensure accurate reporting, train and supervise operators.
• Operate and maintain long hole drilling rigs to ensure accurate and efficient drilling according to project specifications.
• Perform pre‑operational checks and routine maintenance on drilling equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Interpret drilling plans, layouts, and technical drawings to execute drilling operations precisely.
• Monitor drilling progress and adjust parameters to maintain alignment, depth, and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic issues on rigs and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Record and report drilling data, equipment performance, and any incidents or irregularities.
• Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to optimize drilling techniques and improve productivity.

Qualifications & Skills Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years Long Hole experience (Drilling and maintaining).
• Valid Long Hole Drill Rig Certificate (MQA/mine recognized).
• Must be physically fit to perform duties in demanding.
• Clear criminal record.
