Our client, a Tech Start-up is looking for a Logistics Specialist to join their dynamic team.

Offer of Employment

• 3-month probation period - following this a permanent position
• This will be an in-office and remote role and assets such as cell phones, data etc. will be provided.
• CTC: R14 000 p/m

Experience

2 - 4 years’ experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervision: Oversee the work of junior logistics specialists, provide guidance and support, and ensure that tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
• Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for junior logistics specialists to help them grow and improve in their roles.
• Performance Management: Regularly evaluate the performance of junior logistics specialists and provide feedback to help them reach their full potential.
• Resource Allocation: Allocate resources and delegate tasks to junior logistics specialists to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the logistics function.
• Problem-Solving: Assist junior logistics specialists in resolving any problems or issues that arise in their day-to-day work.
• Process Development: Work with junior logistics specialists to identify areas for improvement in processes and procedures and help implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Communication: Act as a liaison between junior logistics specialists and other departments and stakeholders and ensure clear and effective communication between all parties.
• Compliance: Ensure that junior logistics specialists are following all relevant regulations and procedures and provide guidance on best practices in compliance.
• The senior logistics specialist plays a crucial role in the success of the logistics function, and by effectively managing and mentoring junior logistics specialists, they help to ensure that the team operates smoothly and efficiently.
