This newly created role focuses on higher‑margin, complex logistics projects rather than high‑volume transactional freight.

Core must‑haves

  • Proven sales experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or project cargo
  • Strong ability to identify, pursue, and close complex logistics deals
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with an existing client base or strong industry network
  • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel within Gauteng and regionally

Nice‑to‑haves

  • Experience working with construction, mining, or industrial clients
  • Understanding of multimodal and project cargo logistics
  • Familiarity with CRM or sales‑tracking platforms
JOB DESCRIPTION

The role responsibilities will include, but not limited to :

  • Prospecting for new business through networking, lead systems, and cold calling
  • Engaging with direct export and import clients to understand logistics needs
  • Preparing quotations, negotiating contracts, and closing high‑value deals
  • Collaborating with senior management during client meetings to secure business
  • Maintaining customer relationships and ensuring client satisfaction
  • Tracking sales performance and reporting to management
  • Building a sustainable sales pipeline aligned to business objectives
