Requirements :
- National senior certificate with five years’ working experience in Supply Chain Management. A National diploma 3 years’ experience in SCM (NQF level 6 as recognized by SAQA) in supply chain management or relevant qualifications will be an added advantage. (or equivalent) with experience/competencies that focuses on the key performance areas (KRA’S) of the post. Experience: appropriate and proven experience in supply chain management in a hospital environment. Inherent requirements of the job: valid (code B/EB) driver’s. Competencies (knowledge/skills): extensive knowledge of relevant supply chain and financial prescripts, departmental policies, delegations and procedures. An aptitude for working with financial figures, good organizational, management and leadership skills. Extensive knowledge and practical experience in Microsoft packages (MS word, MS excel, MS outlook, PowerPoint). SAP and SRM.Ability to work independently and meet deadlines and to attend to details and ensure correctness of data / information. Ability to work under pressure and to work in a team. Be prepared to work overtime when required to meet deadlines. Good communication skills and interpersonal relations. Must be a client orientated person. Knowledge of computers and computer literacy is compulsory. Knowledge of SRM / SAP/ LOGIS will be an added advantage.
Duties :
- Perform administrative duties with regard to supply chain management services including facilitation and ensure effective and efficient bid administration. Ensure effective and efficient procurement of equipment and services are done in time, updating of asset register on daily basis and asset verification is done. As per approved budget. Receiving and evaluation of proposals, making supplier recommendations, correct placing of orders according to SCM policies and correct implementation of procedures and directives relating to procurement. Coordinate and facilitate the sourcing management process, expediting of order and capturing of good, received record and system management, effective communication and overall responsiveness. Ensure implementation of procurement plan and assist in the demand management and procurement planning. Provide support to colleagues and supervisors (internal and external).
