A collection of safari and wilderness lodges across South Africa, is looking for a LODGE MANAGER to lead one of their exquisite properties.

Candidate Requirements
  • At least 5 years management experience in a luxury lodge or boutique hotel operations
  • Own transport and drivers license (ESSENTIAL)
  • South African citizenship or valid work permit required
  • Strong wine, food and beverage operations knowledge
  • Must have an interest in natural areas and activities associated with the area
  • Strong financial acumen (ability to manage budgets and control costs)
  • Must be able to multitask, be flexible to changing nature of business, and be able to think on your feet
Key Responsibilities
  • You will oversee daily lodge operations- front of house, kitchen, maintenance, housekeeping and wedding venue
  • Ensure all statutory, environmental, and health & safety standards are met and upheld
  • Oversee scheduling, performance, and welfare of all lodge staff
  • Handle HR processes such as performance discussions, disciplinary procedures, and leave management in line with company policies and in collaboration with the HR Manager
  • Collaborate with the operations and finance teams to manage budgets, control costs, and ensure operational sustainability
  • Support the bistro team to maintain excellence in cuisine, presentation, and service
  • Drive internal communication, motivation, and professional development
  • Ensure supplier relationships and procurement follow group standards
  • Work closely with event coordinators to ensure seamless delivery from enquiry to execution
  • Coordinate with the marketing and reservations teams to ensure accurate availability, rates, and promotions
