Job description

Locum Dentist (April 2026 – July 2026) – Hartenbos, Western Cape

An established and reputable dental practice in Hartenbos, Western Cape, is seeking a motivated and dedicated HPCSA-Registered Dentist to join their team as a locum while their current dentist is on maternity leave.

This locum position will run from April 2026 until the end of July 2026, and the practice would like to get everything in order and start interviews well in advance.

Start Date: 1 April 2026
End Date: 31 July 2026
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00
Remuneration: Commission-based

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive dental care and treatment to patients of all ages.
  • Perform routine and complex dental procedures, including restorations, extractions, crowns, bridges, and root canal treatments.
  • Conduct thorough oral examinations and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventative care.
  • Collaborate with dental assistants and support staff to ensure smooth workflow and excellent patient care.
  • Uphold professional standards and comply with HPCSA regulations and ethical guidelines.
Requirements
  • HPCSA-registered Dentist (or eligible for registration upon completion of community service).
