BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION
This is a full-time operational role suited to an experienced Loader Operator who is hands‑on, safety‑conscious, and able to operate heavy machinery in construction, earthworks, and landscaping environments.

The main function of this role is the safe and efficient operation of a front‑end loader equipped with a hydraulically powered bucket or scoop, to extract, transport, and load aggregates and materials.

Job Responsibilities & Expectations

• Machine Operation: Operate a front‑end loader safely and efficiently on construction and landscaping sites.
• Material Handling: Load, transport, and stockpile materials (soil, sand, stone, rubble, compost, etc.).
• Maintenance: Perform daily pre‑start inspections, complete safety checklists, and conduct basic maintenance.
• Workshop Support: Assist with loader maintenance and minor repairs where required.
• Safety Compliance: Follow Health & Safety regulations, company policies, and correctly use PPE.
• Hazard Awareness: Maintain constant awareness of surroundings, hazards, and site safety.
• Site Support: Support site teams with earthworks and bulk material movement.
• Incident Reporting: Report defects, hazards, accidents, or violations promptly.
• Quality Standards: Consistently maintain a high standard of workmanship and productivity.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

• Tertiary qualifications
• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Valid Loader Operator Certificate / License (essential)

Work‑Based Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years' experience operating a front‑end loader in construction, earthworks, or landscaping
• Valid Code B driver's licence
• Microsoft Office suite: Word (proficient), Excel (proficient)

Other Requirements

• RSA citizen
• Police Clearance Certificate (issued within the last 3 months) required; when shortlisted
• Credit history check may be conducted
• Physically fit, able to work outdoors in varying conditions
