Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced live-in nanny in the Cape Town area to care for two children aged 2 and 5. You will manage daily routines, plan activities, prepare meals, and ensure safety in a non-smoking household.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of nanny experience, solid communication, and current First Aid/CPR certification. A proactive, organized, patient caregiver who can support development and assist with light household tasks related to the children is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of nanny experience.
• Experience with toddlers and preschoolers.
• Current First Aid and CPR certifications are mandatory.
• Excellent knowledge of child safety and hygiene practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and loving care for two children (ages 2 and 5).
• Develop and implement daily schedules, including playtimes, meals, naps, and educational activities.
• Prepare healthy, balanced meals and snacks for the children, considering allergies or dietary needs.
• Assist with dressing, bathing, and bedtime routines.
• Engage children in age-appropriate educational games, reading, arts and crafts, and outdoor play.
• Ensure the children's living spaces are kept clean, tidy, and safe.
• Accompany children on outings to parks, playgrounds, and playdates.
• Communicate regularly with parents about the children's development, daily events, and concerns.
• Maintain a positive and supportive atmosphere for the children.
• Light housekeeping duties related to the children's needs, such as laundry and tidying toys.
