Our client is a respected California-based commercial litigation law firm known for delivering strategic, high-quality representation to businesses and professionals.
The firm handles complex disputes across a range of industries and is seeking a skilled Remote Paralegal to join their team.
The Paralegal will support attorneys in all phases of commercial litigation, from case initiation through trial preparation.
The ideal candidate has direct experience working for a California law firm and a deep understanding of California civil procedure, court rules, and litigation workflows.
This is a fully remote role, but candidates must be highly organized, tech-savvy, and capable of managing assignments independently.
Draft, review, and finalize litigation documents including pleadings, discovery requests / responses, subpoenas, and correspondence.
Assist with case management, including organizing case files, maintaining calendars, tracking deadlines, and managing document production.
Conduct legal and factual research using available databases and resources.
Prepare exhibits, briefs, and supporting materials for hearings, mediations, depositions, and trial.
Coordinate filings in state and federal courts, ensuring compliance with California court rules and e-filing requirements.
Communicate with clients, courts, and third parties professionally and efficiently.
Support attorneys with trial preparation, including witness files, exhibit binders, and logistics.
Minimum 3 years of paralegal experience in a California-based commercial litigation law firm.
Strong knowledge of California Code of Civil Procedure, state and federal court rules, and e-filing systems.
Proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced litigation environment.
Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and written communication skills.
Proficiency with legal case management software, document management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
