Job description

IntroductionA distributor of premium alcohol brands is looking for a Sales Representative, with experience in selling Luxury Brands in Johannesburg and Durban.

The client is looking for an individual who shows collaborative and leadership team work, who is professional in their approach and who is inspired through creativity, to fill this new role.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Brand Availability and Sales Volumes : Achieve availability by channel, as per targets set
  • Correct implementation of brand availability, by channel
  • Ensure that brand equity is a key driver of all activity and activations
  • Drive volume, through innovative ideas
  • Drive volume, through brand prioritisation per channel
  • Submitting daily report to management of route that was covered for the day and new verifications and outlets signed up
  • Build and maintain good relationships with outlet owners.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with the redistributors in the area.
  • Ensure that outlets sell brands at the right price.
  • Ensure brand visibility and awareness by conducting promotions at outlets.
  • Provide promotional feedback.
  • Maximize sales of products.
  • Service a minimum of 75 outlets a week
  • Visit 15 outlets per day, 75 per week and per month.
Promotions and Brand Visibility
  • Ensure that promotions are effectively implemented and within brand equity guidelines
  • Ensure that the correct brands are promoted in the correct channels and outlets
  • Ensure correct implementation of our National Promotions Strategy
  • Manage ROI (return on investment) of promotions
  • Ensure brand visibility is optimised through imagery, back room displays, staff uniforms, menus and specialised merchandise
Operational Excellence
  • Correctly implement and update call cycle
  • Achieve % call rate as per the call cycle
  • Ensure that all outlets are coded correctly
  • Ensure all requirements are achieved during the rep call
  • Correctly complete all administration and report requirements
Consumer Interaction
  • Interact responsibly with consumers at all available opportunities
  • Collect consumer information as per the brand target market
  • Feedback consumer learning and expectations
Desired Experience & Qualification
  • 3 Year Tertiary Education (Beneficial)
  • 3-Years Relevant experience – experience within FMCG / Liquor - Formal On Trade / Luxury Brands (preferable)
  • Product, service knowledge and understanding of category management
  • Knowledge of marketing and accounting principles
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to conceptualise and negotiate
