Job summary

A leading cruise line is seeking a qualified Lifeguard to ensure the safety of pool areas onboard the cruise ship. Responsibilities include monitoring pool safety, conducting inspections, and providing first aid as needed. Ideal candidates will have a lifeguard certification, strong swimming skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Flexible hours are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a lifeguard, preferably in a pool or aquatic environment.
• Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical examination and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Monitor all pool areas and other water facilities on board for safety.
• Provide first aid and emergency care in the event of an accident.
• Enforce pool rules to ensure safety.
• Conduct regular safety inspections of the pool and surrounding areas.

Job description

- Monitor all pool areas and other water facilities on board to ensure safety protocols are being followed onboard the cruise ship

- Provide first aid and emergency care in the event of an accident or injury

- Enforce all pool rules and regulations to ensure the safety of all individuals

- Conduct regular safety inspections of the pool and surrounding areas

- Assist in the maintenance and cleaning of the pool and pool deck

- Communicate effectively with other crew members and passengers to provide a positive and welcoming atmosphere

- Participate in safety drills and trainings as required by the company

- Attend to any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management

Qualifications:

- Current lifeguard certification from a recognized organization

- Minimum of 1 year experience as a lifeguard, preferably in a pool or aquatic environment

- Strong swimming and rescue skills

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergency situations
