Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is actively recruiting for the position of Lifeguard / Pool Attendant to ensure the safety and comfort of guests in aquatic facilities, particularly in hospitality and cruise environments. The ideal candidate must be a confident swimmer with a keen sense of vigilance, possessing basic first aid knowledge and the ability to respond swiftly in emergency situations. This role involves maintaining pool hygiene, enforcing safety rules, and providing an excellent guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor pool and surrounding areas to ensure guest safety at all times.

• Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies, including performing rescues and administering basic first aid/CPR when required.

• Ensure that all poolside and safety equipment is in proper working order.

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards of the pool, deck, and changing areas.

• Enforce pool rules and safety regulations in a respectful and consistent manner.

• Assist guests with inquiries and provide friendly, professional service.

• Report maintenance issues or potential hazards to the supervisor immediately.

• Participate in routine safety drills and training sessions as scheduled.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven swimming proficiency and confidence in deep and shallow waters.

• Certified in Basic First Aid and/or CPR (or willingness to obtain certification prior to joining).

• Physically fit with good stamina and quick reflexes.

• Strong observation skills with the ability to remain alert and focused for long durations.

• Professional attitude and grooming standards suitable for hospitality settings.

Experience

• Previous experience as a lifeguard or pool attendant is preferred but not mandatory.

• Freshers with swimming and first aid skills are welcome to apply.

Working Hours

• Flexible shift schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

• Typical shifts range from 6 to 9 hours per day, depending on operational needs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of water rescue techniques and emergency response protocols.

• Understanding of pool sanitation, chemical handling, and general maintenance.

• Ability to communicate in English (basic level required; multilingual candidates are a plus).
