Job Description - Licensed Practical Nurse

The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Montana State Hospital. Montana State Hospital is seeking professional and passionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join our team.

This full-time position would perform skilled nursing duties and inpatient psychiatric treatment for adults with serious mental illness.

Responsibilities
  • Administer and document the administration of medications and medical treatments.
  • Receive and transcribe verbal and written physician orders to ensure accurate treatment to patients and provide patient assessment.
Qualifications
  • Skilled in the use of the basic instruments and equipment of the nursing profession.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to proficiently utilize technology related to patient care information systems.
  • Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing.
  • Currently licensed as a Practical Nurse in the State of Montana.
