Job summary

FirstRand Bank seeks a capable professional to manage origination, structuring and closing of less complex deals in the allocated sector under guidance. You will support structuring, credit submissions and documentation for review, and help grow a regional commercial property finance portfolio.

Responsibilities include analysing financial info, preparing credit applications, delivering client-centric financing solutions, and collaborating with Sales Coverage and Credit to successfully execute

Qualifications

• BCom degree or equivalent in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years' experience in Commercial Property Finance or Residential Developments.
• Strong financial analysis and credit assessment skills.

Job Description

To manage the origination, structuring and closing of less complex deals in the allocated sector/product, under guidance and supervision of a senior deal maker. To support Deal Maker in structuring lending deals, preparing credit submissions and documentation for credit review, and assisting with the management of the regional commercial property finance portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse financial and credit information to assess risk and support lending decisions.
• Assist Deal Makers in structuring commercial property finance transactions.
• Prepare high-quality credit applications and supporting documentation for Credit Committee reviews.
• Deliver excellent client service through proactive and appropriate financing solutions.
• Maintain a strong understanding of economic conditions, business risks, and financial statements.
• Ensure all credit submissions and related activities are accurate, timely, and of a high standard.
• Accountable for individual sales targets for the allocated area.
• Perform end-to-end process from deal origination to deal conclusion by evaluating and presenting applications for funding and structure deals that contribute towards customer and FirstRand objectives and growth under guidance and supervision.
• Manage existing customers and grow portfolio for less complex deals, through the development of innovative and appropriate solutions and by continuously engaging and building an understanding of the customer's business and needs.
• Work closely with internal teams (e.g. Sales Coverage, Credit) to ensure successful execution of lending products and deals.

Minimum Requirements

• BCom Degree or equivalent in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or related field
• 3 - 5 years' experience in Commercial Property Finance /Residential Developments
• Strong financial analysis and credit assessment skills
