Responsible for the internal legal support required by Attorneys / Managers / Candidate Attorneys.
Ensuring compliance with internal department's standards of delivery, copying and collating of documents as well as specific attention to compliance with court requirements and the cost-effective management of all matters being produced in order to decrease time to cash with minimum delays.
All tasks to be executed in line with the Standard Operating procedures of Munnik Basson Dagama Inc.
Provide full admin support to Attorneys across all litigation stages.
Draft, prepare, revise, and format legal documents (e.g., Summons, Applications for Judgment, Warrants, affidavits, correspondence, agreements).
Proofread, organize, and maintain case files for easy access; prepare evidentiary documents.
Manage / update system templates; coordinate workflows within the legal department.
Conduct legal research for case data.
Monitor / track deadlines (filings, responses, discovery).
Ensure timely service of Summons via liaison with Sheriffs / correspondents.
Draft all litigation processes; coordinate / manage Sheriffs, correspondents, and third parties.
Telephonic contact with consumers / legal reps: leverage legal processes, negotiate payment arrangements, settle claims promptly.
Use alternative channels (WhatsApp, T-Forge, 3CX, email) to boost contact rates.
Perform individual tracing on targeted accounts.
Daily resolve queries, monitor frozen matters / closures, handle client escalations & legal threats.
Respond to incoming correspondence; provide daily feedback / reports to Attorneys.
Attend to daily / weekly / monthly reporting; ensure financial targets met (daily / weekly / monthly).
Build strong relationships with stakeholders (internal / external : clients, third parties).
Adhere to all compliance, legislative, and regulatory requirements.
Execute / exceed deliverables aligned with firm strategies; meet operational timelines with updates.
Handle any other admin / legal tasks required by management.
Grade 12
Paralegal Diploma
Knowledge and understanding of debt collection processes
Knowledge of Civil Litigation Processes
3-5 years' experience in drafting legal Collections environment working as a Legal Secretary with specific experience in secured lending (VAF & Home Loans)
Strong administrative background
Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and document formatting.
Proficiency in using legal case management software and other relevant technology.
Computer literacy (Excel, MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Excel skills are mandatory
