Job summary

MANPOWER Group in South Africa seeks a legally qualified professional to advise on commercial and regulatory matters, draft and negotiate contracts, and manage risk across business operations. This role requires an admitted SA attorney with strong knowledge of SA law and experience in a management or advisory capacity.

Responsibilities include developing templates, supporting governance, and monitoring regulatory changes impacting the insurance and financial services sectors.

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
• Strong knowledge of South African commercial and contract law.
• Experience in a legal management or advisory role.
• Short-term insurance experience will be advantageous.

• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial agreements.
• Support contractual negotiations with business partners, service providers, and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain contractual templates and legal documentation standards.
• Provide legal guidance on insurance legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee contract lifecycle management, including renewals, compliance monitoring, and risk reporting.
• Support governance committees and executive management on legal and governance matters.
• Assist with the development and implementation of governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
• Monitor legislative developments and assess their impact on business operations.
