Hire Resolve in Cape Town seeks a skilled Legal Counsel to provide broad legal support for our corporate affairs, contracts, and compliance. You will draft, review and negotiate key agreements while advising on governance matters.

The ideal candidate has an LLB, bar admission, at least 3 years of in-house or corporate experience, and strong communication and analytical skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• LLB degree required.
• Admission to the bar in good standing.
• Minimum 3 years as a practicing attorney, preferably in corporate/in-house.

Responsabilités

• Provide legal advice on corporate governance, contracts, compliance and regulatory matters.
• Draft and review contracts and other legal documents.
• Assist in developing and implementing corporate policies and procedures.

Job Title: Legal Counsel

Location: Cape Town, Western Cape

Position Type: Full-time, In-house

Summary:

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Counsel to join their team. The Legal Counsel will be responsible for providing legal advice and support to our company on a variety of legal matters. The successful candidate will have a strong background in corporate law, contract negotiation, and compliance.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide legal advice and support on a wide range of legal issues, including corporate governance, contract negotiation, compliance, and regulatory matters
2. Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents
3. Assist in the development and implementation of corporate policies and procedures
4. Conduct legal research and keep abreast of changes in laws and regulations that may impact the company
5. Manage and coordinate external legal counsel as needed
6. Collaborate with other departments to ensure legal compliance and mitigate legal risks
7. Represent the company in legal proceedings, negotiations, and meetings with external parties
8. Stay informed about industry best practices and legal trends

Requirements:

1. LLB degree from an accredited law school
2. Admission to the state bar and in good standing
3. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing attorney, preferably in a corporate or in-house legal department
4. Strong knowledge of corporate law, contract negotiation, and compliance
5. Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
6. Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
7. Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
8. Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
