Purpose of the role
To assist the legal department in legal operations.

Minimum Requirements
  • Higher Certificate in paralegal studies or currently studying towards a legal degree (LLB, Bcom Law)
  • At least two to five years experience in a law firm or corporate legal enviroment
  • Experience with criminal and civil litigation
Duties and Responsibilities
  • General contract management incuding contract life cycle management (standard contracts)
  • Maintain compliance documents - POPIA and regulatory compliance
  • Litigation management
    • Assist in managing case file management
    • Dealing with external stakeholders
    • Assist in collection affidavits
  • General document management and drafting
  • Case management support (opening and maintaining case files)
  • Legal research and analysis (legal research)
  • Maintaining legal record data base
  • General assistance with company secretarial work
