About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Legal Advisor specializing in contract law to join their in-house legal team in Bloemfontein . This role is central to supporting various business units by drafting, reviewing, and advising on a wide array of commercial contracts and agreements. You will ensure that all contractual arrangements align with company policies and legal requirements, mitigating risk and supporting business objectives. Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial contracts, including supply agreements, service contracts, NDAs, and partnership agreements.
• Provide clear and concise legal advice on contractual matters to internal stakeholders and business units.
• Ensure contracts comply with applicable laws and company policies, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
• Maintain a repository of standard contracts and advise on contract amendments.
• Assist in resolving contractual disputes and advising on enforcement strategies.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure contractual obligations are met.

Requirements

• Admitted Attorney with a minimum of 4 years of experience focused on contract law.
• Proven expertise in drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements.
• Strong understanding of contract principles and relevant South African legislation.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple contract reviews simultaneously.
